Summary
The Foreman Locator will be responsible for operating locating and additional product support equipment. Our ideal candidate has full knowledge of underground fiber install operations. Must be familiar with industry standards, policies, guidelines, procedures and can lead a 2-3 team member crew.
This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Assist Drill Operator with directional drill in accordance with blueprints and designated plans
- Responsible for locating cables and safely digging in accordance with blueprints and designated plans
- Operate hand and power tools and other general tasks using company and/or rental equipment
- Maintain company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines
- Maintain a constant focus on operating in a safe working environment
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Directional Drill Locator: 5 years prior experience (Required) in underground fiber and coax construction
- Experience with Vermeer 20×22 Series 2 with F5 Falcon Locator
- Knowledge of utility depths and placements
- Capable of reading and understanding blueprints
- Valid Driver’s License, with a clean MVR (Required)
- Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement (Preferred)
- Must have reliable transportation, be dependable and punctual
- Completion of pre-employment background checks, drug screen and motor vehicle record checks are required
- Due to the nature of field work, this position may require overtime, working on weekends, holidays, and the possibility of being called in during off hours
- We are an outside plant construction company, it is mandatory to work outside in the varying elements year round
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
